(From left) Picture Coursey Internet: The Dghi of Hazrat Khan jahan Ali (RA) at Bagherhat

Resolve of water, gas and electricity shortage and the Pond of Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (RA)

Muhammad Shamim Akhter, 3 Boishakah, 1418:

A.

Apart from the bombardment of academic datum and analysis, we, the commoners as well as the non-academic persons are desperately feeling that there are eight-to –nine hours out of twenty four hours a day, we are off the facilities of electricity (load shedding) and during that darkness, neither can we run the business easily nor can we live for the intensity of hot. Leave it; just go to the bathroom to take a shower or toilet, turn on your tap, you are simply frustrated that there is no water. Leave the bathroom, go to kitchen to cook food, turn on your gas strove, the situation remains the same, no gas or very poor flow which may serve you nothing. This is the common scenario of the Dhaka Dwellers. Nearly 2 crore peoples which is equivalent to the population of Australia Continent live alone in Dhaka . If we add, the rest of the people of the whole country, it could far more about 14 crore.

We can ask whether the hectic utility service which I mentioned early is man-made or the reality. I have been writing on this topics for last years which might find the trail of way out, but, it stimulated a little consciousness to the conscious department, in consequence of massive misappropriation, mismanagement the quality of service remains the same in April, 2011 can easily be claimed aided by circumstantial evidence . Since I have a little time to spend to make such a big peace of writing, I will just point out the clue which the academician or any conscious researcher may take up for the enrichment.

B.

In a separate report, I have served to provide the information that about 400 overhead tanks in the WASA zone in particular are not used and also proposed to introduce these overhead tank in the newly areas which may save a lot of money in terms of avoiding to build up infrastructure. It is very amazing that the authority paid a little heed to it and they are adamantly doing what are being formulated by World Bank, Asian Development Bank etc. with their usury inflicted monetary facilities and partial inclination, The mentor they produce to the rising state after colonial victimization like Bangladesh, can never contribute to it absolute development. Their performances in different countries corroborate the fact that their policy is detrimental to their absolute interest.

The more they advice the more poverty and dynamic problems are inflicting day by day. The money of the whole instrument of the state, earning from the head of utility service, has been funneling to the domestic and international banks of the vested quarters.

The Daily Bangladesh Protidin has reported on 18 April, 2011 that early 600 crore of taka in a year has been smuggled from Bangladesh . Such a huge amount of money can never be achieved from the source like, electricity, gas, water etc. These heads are so lucrative; the earners drive the whole economic mechanism with their earnings, judiciary, executive and legislative all branch are directly or indirectly dependant on it.

Water supply through overhead tanks managed by WASA could save a great deal of money in terms building the cost of building underground and overhead reservoirs of each house and it must reduce the usage of electricity since reserving and lifting water with electric pump by individual house is adding and pressing on the consumption of electricity. If the zonal ponds, water reservoirs could be left intact and could be dug um or restored the old ones, and arranged could be taken to fill up the overhead tanks by water and could be supplied water through required width of pipe abiding by the Pascal theory, then water supply could not be so expensive and acute and with the easy supply of water and saving electricity other jobs could be done. Moreover, buying water pumps, overhead tanks, labor cost, concrete and other materials, a lot of money we are spending could be flowed in different heads and life could be easier.

It has become the fashion of the Present Government to pound the liability to the previous government. It is shameful that the head where a chance to misappropriate has been left intact and from that source, the money earned has been being smuggled to foreign banks to hide their sins out. It is the dynamic and new face of colonialism.

The usage of religion is so shamefully used in Bangladesh that although they are devoid the policy of Islam; they are trying to show the sole agent of Islam. Declaring secularism I hope the government does not have any credibility that they have not been departed from the teaching of Quaran. Secularism and Islamism can not go hand to hand. The person who was in charge to the meeting of Islamic Foundation concerning to the the law of inheritance in Islam during the reign of present government was Justice Abdus Salam who lives in my area and one morning after Fajar, one retired Secretary asked him in the mosque, about the rule in Islam to allocate property of the father to his daughter equal to his son, since he reminded him that there was a clear verse of Quran in this regard that son should get more than daughter since son does not get Mohor from his wife and son has to pay honor and is liable to maintain his wife. Later he could not answer and he was supposed to move to and fro and refereed to another person who could not answer the exact point and by passed the audience. We know him a cunning man and always hanker after the post and the house he has built and lives is a mark of violation of the rules of the acts related to housing. There is a rumor by his name that when Awami League comes to power he is blessed. This is one kind of service Awami League offers to the nation in the field of Islamic theology.

C.

Then what is solution that our previous rulers EXEMPLIFIED. If you go to Bagherhat district in Bangladesh , for instance, you must find a name of a rule and a holy man who is called Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (RA). Some argues that those who ruled could not be remembered as like as the saint like Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) who they mentioned merely a philosopher. In a TV, program I had the opportunity to be heard the opinion of Mr. Saifullah Mansur, the son –in- law of Maulana Nizami, who served his opinion that in the history the statesmen are little remembered in compassion to the saints who are apart from the bench of power. Hazrat Muhammad (SA), Hazrat Ali (RA) were not merely soldiers or businessmen, they wee a scholar, labour, poor, ruler, soldier and a holy men concurrently today.

Although it was the faded phase of Islamic history, we can not but charmed that what a benevolence the Khan jahan Ali (RA), even after about five hundred years, we are remembering the big pond or Dighi of Khan Jahan Ali (RA) which is serving sweet water for the people who are surrounded by salt water still now. He was so popular and kind and sincere ruler, peoples had been blessed by his policies and still remember his name with great respect.

It is to pronounce with great upset that Machiavellian and Kautilayan politics instead of Sharia have made the mass of Bangladesh a poor, blunt and misfortune. Although a few is thought to be pleased with such a plunder, it is to be ashamed of by them when they look thorough their windows that mass is burden of deprivation. The ground of the culture of smuggling money of these fortunes to other countries lay upon it. When they pass thorugh the poorly street in Bangladesh , they feel a little pleasure, whereas their eyes are cooled down when their hired limousine run in the street of Singapore , New Work, London , Paris , Dubai , Sydney . When they smell foul scent from the lake of Baridhara, Gulshan or so, they think it is better to move to Melbourne, Sydney, Miami or somewhere else where they find villas near the water front and got pleased while the goblet is filled up a pint of wine! On the other hand, the modern Dajjals are ready to entertain these blood suckers because they bring a lot of money and deposit in their banks which they invest by the usury mechanism. And when usury spread, according to the opinion of Allah and His Prophet Muhammad (SA), no peace may sustain in the state and according to the strait declaration of Allah in the verse of Bakara in the Quaran, being tounched with usury is ultimately the declaration of a war against Allah. So being declared war against the Super power, no Japanese Technology may made precaution about the inevitable punishment of Allah. As far as usury concerned, I can not but laugh when Sheikh Hasina blames Dr. Muhammad Yunis for his usury trade; it is the Bangladesh Bank which is involved in usury trade and the Prime Minster herself is the custodian of that Bank. In the novel “Abdullah” I had the opportunity to read a statement “Ek Ghor me do pir, jao baccha shoroho”. Meaning “Two peers are in the same room, the infant peer! go to bed.”

If some one is above 60 year, he should be removed so far I know the Grameen Bank related law suggests. As a law abiding international respectable person could do it before if he if he was an inteligent man. it is Bangladesh,it is the country where everything is possible to be commit . If he was a blessed person verdict agisnt him could be stayed many times in the Appellate Division, which we did in other cases but did not see in this regard as the ' peer' is required to take a rest. If the mentality is to crash the ‘peer' in the same house, then we are afraid thinking of the number of peers who are going to be knocked down in the near future.

Lastly, I am to say that intensifying the sufferings with water, electricity, gas and making the motherland barren and blunt, searching for peace in other country is a mental, physical and spiritual illness, which the Alim of Quaran may treat. The more they concentrate, the more the remedy.
