The housing compund was built and rented, recently evacuated . 3. At Pallabi Residential area ,near MDC model scholl , housing compund was erected and recently evacuated . 4. At the same place to run the pump or house(?) an expensive generator was built . All these were built to blunt the large mounted water reservior.Those are the few examples of the total WASA service in Dhaka.
WASA's policy driven corruption: mounted tank is empty !!!!

when I was in class eight. This theory is still discussed in the school. But it is the great scientists who are paid in WASA supposed to be assumed that they know nothing about. Whereas this system was first introduced in 1910 near Bahadur Shah Park in Dhaka and with this system water was supplied to WARI area and afterwards such Mounted Tank water system was introduced in different parts of Dhaka and even outside Dhaka . WASA source has added that nearly 450 mounted tanks are available in Dhaka . It saved lots of money in terms of by using one Pump many households were benefited. Within last 10-20 years, the policy has been changed and 450 tanks are poorly managed and instead of such a cost effective system has been replaced by regional pump house system. Pump house drain water to the underground tank of each house and thereafter the house owners are to lift water from there to their roof top tank. It made the volume of the usage of electricity more in terms of the usage of operating water pumps every house. The previous system saved a great deal of money of the house owners which could ultimately be diverted to defacement users. More over, if we add the cost of tanks, buying water pumps and miscellanies, then it is highly recommended that mounted system water distribution is better than we do now.
In addition, a source has added further added that the rooftop water tank businesspersons like the proprietor of GAZI, MADINA were highly ambitious persons. These may have contacted with WASA officials to formulate the policy. Furthermore, the water pump importers may have been involve in. Although they are benefited temporarily, the waste of nation resource is a must in this behalf and so the distribution of water by WASA should be rearranged. An inquiry team may be formulated to mind who was invoked the authority to introduce such hectic method, instead of such easy, conventional and convenient system which could mitigate the water supply crisis.
To sum, the interest of the mass shall get supreme over the interest of tiny amount of peoples who are strong, organized and adamant to their cause.
