Fate or Effort? Middle is the Right

When we have to witness so many accidents and incidents which may neither expectable nor disallowable, however, the reality leads the occurrence. In the event of occurring such incident or accident, it is passively or enthusiastically pronounced that ‘it is the irony of fate!! ', let it be done. In last years, we have witnessed a great deal of tragedies in our country - Bangladesh , namely:
1. PilkhanaTragedy;
3. Copter Crash Tragedy;
2. Begunbari Tragedy;
3. Nimtoli Tragedy.
Moreover, lynching educators in the educational institutions and political opponents, murder, culpable homicide, riot, gutted fire in the illegal part of Bashudhara Shopping Mall , Train accident at Sirajgonj and Norshingdi, Burning to death in Hamim Garment at Ashulia, daily road accident, tragedic death of construction workers at Motijheel and hundred of wounds easily found in the word no 10 at Dhaka Medical College hospital and elsewhere.
The picture which I placed at the banner of this review consisted of two cylinders contained gas produced from the chemical reaction of calcium carbonate is used to inflate balloons at Shahbagh, just corner to Shishu park at Shah Bagh in Dhaka. This picture was snapped nearly two months ago from the spot.
When I asked to the shopkeepers who were using cylinders, replied, “No problem!” although I caught their attention mentioning that it was banned in the country since no pneumatic gauge meter was fixed therein and in addition, record suggests a lot of death in particular Dhaka city and the country at large for the explosion of such a cylinder, they remained adamant. Correspondingly when I asked the reason why there was unavailability of necessary fire fighting equipments at Bangabazar, near Gulistan, they informed that for 2500 shops, there were only 10-12 fire- fighting kits (Cylinder of gas or powder) and their interests and the concerned department to have necessary measures were poor and tries to ignore. In fact the answer was: no: problem!
Whether any planning is required to have the arrangement to make the city disaster free, and to eliminate dust and building material stationed on the corner of the street, the beneficiary as well as the concerned department of us seems little, in some cases, zero. Yet we expect to live a peaceful life and depend on Allah. Question may arise: is it enough to guard us against troubles?
In this circumstance, I am to say that Allah has given intellect to the human being so that he/she may act wisely. The English meaning of Tagdir is fate and Takbir is effort; amalgamation of two elements, the life may be fulfilled. It is the part of a believer to have faith on fate, but in the same way we must have deem that the intellect of a human being is required to this examination room where Allah has sent us for the time being. While Imam Hussain (RA) was martyred, there was a concept extended from the part of the Killer Umayyad ruler. A class of Ulema was purchased who tried to say that whatever was happened was the irony of Allah. It was called ‘Jobria doctrine.” The reason was to pacify the mass Muslim that whatever the fate of Imam Hussein (RA) was, it belonged to the order of Allah. Their atrocious and misdeed were buried by that doctrine. And those who were mesmerized became looser, since such doctrine lost the mental strength of a human being and made them underdog. At the same time, Imam of Ahlalul Bayat corrected the concept and the Muslim in particular and the mankind at large pronounded that the truth is laid upon in between Tagdir (FATE) and Tagbir (EFFORT), the middle is right. No leaves are off without the order of Allah, at the same time, we must mind that Allah does not change the fate of a nation who does not change the fate itself. We must have belief on Tagdir, however, we can not deny Tagbir. This concept had invigorated to the dead soul of the Muslims and when they tried to amalgamate to these: effort and fate, they began to win over the falsehood.
It seems that the concept so aforementioned is not clear to Bangladeshi Muslim and thus the exploiters have grounded to set out their heinous plots. Haziness relating to the enforcement of rules to guide the lives of the citizens is remained callous excusing the irony of fate. The responsible authority often try to discharge the burden of responsibilities upon the fate and for this reason so many tragedies have been happening and live and property have been detrimental. In this regard, I have scanned page no. 237 of the book ‘Islam and other creeds' written by Dr. Mazher Uddin Siddiquee in Urdu and translated in Bengali by Maulana Muhammad Hassan Rahmaty and published by Islamic Foundation Bangladesh in 1991 where Jobria doctrine has been discussed which supports my claim that we must believe fate, because it is one of the condition for our Iman may remain sustained.
It is my humble request to our leaders, ulema and administrators, general mass that they would combine fate and effort to make the lives of Bangladeshi citizen more secured being applied intellect which is given by Allah. Allah has given many bounties so that we may teach from them how to survive safely. Excusing fate and being made misappropriate the public fund, no matter what ridiculous fatwa you provide will eventually be beaten the ground.
Mischievous begins within the interpretation of the decision provided in the Holy Quran and success depends on the right interpretation.
