IMPORT OF RICE INSTEAD OF PURCHASE FROM LOCAL PRODUCER BY GOB!!??

Do you know that the Minister in charge of Food has declared to-day to import rice instead of buying rice from local rice producer excusing of high price? When most of the countries allow subsidy to protect the local agriculture, it is the present GOB that plans to u-turn which may ultimately frustrate to the local rice producers who will, in fact, never agreed to produce rice in future. We have been informing to the readers that such import dependent economy will decrease the foreign reserve which will in due course devalue our currency.
Moreover, the price of rice will be higher and on the other hand, for charisma of ‘potato decomposed' by means of load-shedding, it is the famine ahead in Bangladesh since regular and substitute – nothing may beat the hike of price. What is the role of the countrymen in this situation should be played to give up the horrendous plan of GOB?
