Is load shedding an impulse? Case Study of Pallabi PS.
Muhamamad Shamim Akhter, 7 November, 2010: On Sunday (07/11/2010) at 11:27 AM, when I am preparing this review, I have to sadly announce that I am victimized with load shedding and am using battery charged laptop to prepare this report when most of the peoples of this area are to stay aside the facilitation of electricity and obviously staying idle. According to the load shedding chart, it is to be shed of load from 10AM-11 AM in my area where I live- Section # 12, Block # B, under Pallabi PS. But look! From11:32 AM + there is no electricity here. If you look at the chart of the week which is obtainable from the website:https://www.desco.org.bd/index.php?page=load-shedding ,you will find that from Saturday to Friday (5 November-10 + 6 days), almost 7 hours load shedding is scheduled to be met. Even if you carefully notice you will find that Today (Sunday, 07/11/2010), 7 hours of load shedding schedule is given. I have pointed you first that while chart does not indicate any load shedding from 11 AM, it is to be mentioned, however, that we are disconnected from getting electricity during that time. Another thing is worthy mentionable. In Sunday, the shops and other establishments of this area (Total Pallabi, Mirpur-1) are scheduled to be shut down as per the GOB' s order and I am sure all those shops are closed accordingly and it is very easy to understand that there should be less consumption of electricity for the closoure. In this circumstance, how does electricity remain off 7 hours a day in comparison of the schedule of the rest of the days of the week? If shops are closed, shouldn't it be diverted to the residents? What does logic permit? Applying this approach, any people may compare to the situation of his/her locality and I am sure there will be no disparity concerning the result. This illogical approach of the concerned department encourages me to make such a conclusion that in regularizing of electricity, no transparency is available and why this ambiguity is prolonged is to find out urgently by our patriotic citizens or their representatives of the country. In addition, I can not be desisted in asking about the reason why load shedding chart of other districts is not given. If you are transparent to the residents of Dhaka , you should be transparent to the rest of the citizens of the country too. Ambiguity, pre-concert plan or any conspiracy: which can be fitted in this regard?
