Neither we get the government's assistance at time of our jobless period nor we get other facilities at time of our need usually a citizen ought to have. Suppose we manage somehow; but: how can we get rid of the sting of the mosquito? No! There is no way. When I am writing it, a lot of mosquitoes are stinging to my leg and I am really embarrassed and frustrated since the problem is overlooked this time .When a flock of military was seen in front of the Dhaka City Corporation's head Office I personally became more optimistic that there shall be a big fight with the GOD father of the mosquito. Alas! What's happed? .No! Mosquito is still biting. DCC declared its budget for Dhaka city worth of 11 thousand crore in the last year. Where's the money? Has that been consumed by the mosquito rather than kicking the bucket? Or have that consumed by the master of the mosquito? It is really a tough job for the commoner like me to disclose the fact what really did in this regard. We were fortunate that once upon a time media – especially news media- had the role to roar with the mosquito biting .However, recently it has been dimmed .What is the reason? Has the so called revolutionary team browsed?
Might be , might be not . Is Demon in the mustard seed? What should we speak? Last year a person met me and said that for the post of a cleaner in the DCC, he paid 50 thousand taka. My recent investigation shows that the cleaners of DCC got the job and sometime lease to other, every now and then, they sleep in the bed. More heinous and notorious task has been done by the so called cooperative societies who are the real culprit in Dhaka city. How a reckless administration may do harm to the common peoples these sorts of cooperative societies/associations are the bright examples. The house owners of the Dhaka city, time and again, formed these body and collect endowment monthly basis at a fixed rate from the tenants in the name of collecting the garbage and security guards. As a result the cleaners of DCC have got the opportunity to deceive the common peoples. In this way these heinous house lords make the opportunity to devour the budget of the DCC. Their heinous job is not stooped here, they go a far away. They deceive the municipality tax and conceal their notoriety as they violated the code of building construction. This is not only a disease in Pallabi area, wherever I am living, it is, however, a contagious disease –becomes epidemic all around Dhaka even beyond!
Some argues that after January 11, 2007 there has been a change. Sometimes I feel that .Unfortunately, mosquito biting, and harsh conversation with the local bus conductors, harassment in different public and private sectors remind me that the tortoise is very slowly moving or the legs of the tortoise are really corrupted. Heaps of rubbish of thirty six years has been loaded over our head - a comment of the Chief of Army of Bangladesh Moen U Ahmed made me pleased that the fact has been pointed. However, I am further worried about the good governance as prescribed rather than finding out the mess. Is it really going well? Who is really responsible: Head of the state? Head of the advisers? Head of the Ministry? Beaurocrats? Social force? Or the whole nation? A transparent answer of this question may lengthen the rule as Aurongozeb in the subcontinent had the opportunity to do. We wait for such person may give the answer of the question .May be then the mosquito may not bite us and our environment may be healthier than ever before. May Allah help us in reaching to the destination.
Keeping cleanliness is one of the first and foremost duties of a Muslim. The administration readily delivered service to the citizens being faith in Islam should have been active enough to clean the city, is frustratingly neglecting the duty. In the case of Dhaka , the respective departments DCC (Dhaka City Corporation), WASA are merely avoiding the proper cleaning of the inner roads' utilities .Their cleaners and cleaning -vehicles are not timely and daily seen in the street, only few cleaners are seen in the late when they are not to do the job. The surface drain, accumulation of building materials, for instance, sand, mud are so disturbing that the air borne disease, for instance, epithalamia (disease of the eye) are spreading all over the country . For the contaminated water in the pipe line of drinking water, water borne diseases are epidemic in Bangladesh .
While many countries have not ye tbeen heard the name of diarrhea, for instance, after many years a diarrhea patient has been identified just few weeks in Iraq, we have been suffering from this disease all most every year , especially in time of rainy season it breaks out
epidemically.
In part of ensure cleanliness, basically for eliminating air pollution, we have made a broom and successfully using it that is cheap and easily operational . The details of the broom are given below :
Bamboo-clothe broom: cheap and easy
Materials:
Three feet tall talla bamboo( available in Bangladesh) , square shaped cut piece of garment's industries disposed clothes, a piece of rope.
Procedure of making the broom:
cutting the clothes like the tail of a animal attach the clothes with one end of bamboo, then tight the clothes. Now it is ready to broom. In order to choose the clothes you better to select the clothes absorbs water and duct, like the nit fabrics or flannel clothes .Mirpur-10 in Dhaka is a spot where a lot of clothes are available. Babmoo can be obtained from the bamboo shop indifferent river side spot in Dhaka and is also available in every parts of Bangladesh .Talla bamboo is reed like, light weight and easy to carry
Salient features of the broom:
It is cheap , costs nearly 25 taka.
Every member of a family can easily clean the floor with it when necessary .
It would be an alternative broom to imported expansive one.
It would assist to be cleaned the house within few minutes without being physically stressed.
To sum:
To be kept clean is our religious duty . Hope we shall produce such cleaning equipments in order to clean the surrounding areas .

Cleanliness is preferred
BM desk,2 July 2007 :
Once I read an article of once the President of Bosnia -Ali Yzotbegoves about the cleanliness of the Muslim world. He commented that where Muslim world should be clean, we found the opposite and the opposite community maintain cleanliness. It is really a disgraceful situation in deed! Once Europeans had no knowledge about the perfume, even they had little knowledge about the hygienic after the toilet. However, in that situation Muslim world ensured clean road, Gulbagicha ( the concept of gardening) , the clean water and the city beside rive. All these is proven blunt in Dhaka. Lots of waste disposal are scatred in the street. Narrow, smelly and dusty city roads make us remind the comment of Bonkim Chatterjee , a prominent novelist in Bengal .Once he visited Dhaka ,on his return to kolkata he commented that he found three things in Dhaka : Crow, dog and Muslim . Still now all these three things are seen Dhaka . On 11th may 2007, the Daily Prothom Alo published a report on the absconded 50 ward Commissioners. The report said that for different financial corruption, terrorization, and other criminal activities they have been absconded. Most of them are hiding in Kolkata from where Chatterjee came to visit. The dirtiness seen in Dhaka is hidden under this news. Lots of money allocated in the budget of DCC (and other Municipality as well) are mismanaged and the total cleanliness is never been done. The RAJUK law violated building owners ultimately support these terror Commissioner since they overlook the violation of law done by the building owners . By this hidden compromise, the most tenant cum city dwellers have to live in the filthy condition, if they protest these Commissioners resist the people's voice with their reserve terrorists. Therefore, for this post terrorist is so greed that people's aspiration to live in clean environment is battered constantly. We expect to draw the attention of the 1/11 revolutionist.
Dhaka's adjacent canals are under the VIP through the LIP
BM investgation ,1 July 2007:
Dhaka was built by the bank of river of Buriganga . Once this city was so environmental, friendly that river based city development is one of the key phenomenons of the present modern cities. Hong Kong , Singapore , Sydney , London , New- York - all are built by the bank of river. Our histrical Dhaka was built by the bank of Dhaka . The fort where Azam and later Shaita Khan used to live was also built by the bank of river. The fort lalbagh is still the witness –how they nicely built the fort adjacent to the River Burigonga. If we now visit the Lalbagh and go to posta then we can see how pathetically we have grabbed the historical river Buriganga . All those rivers are grabbed and the rivers became the canal and the historical cities became a woman raped by the dacoits. Years of years by the greedy peoples with the assistance of the RAJUK and DCC these rapes was entitled to our city Dhaka . History is the witness that if Dhaka remained the capital of Dhaka then the English had to sacrifice much toil to sustain their control .When Dhaka was the capital of Bengal during the regime of Shaista Khan English had to defeat by the force of him as this city was strategically a nice postion. Any way we want to go back the main topic .We have not only grabbed the lalbagh adjacent rivers we have grabbed all the rivers around Dhaka city. Turag River at west and north side Balu River at east side all are devoured by the dacoits under the banner of city development. Showing the excuse of city development and to showing the sympathy to the poor, the modern dacoits are ultimately killing the habitats of this city. Under the umbrella of democracy, these dacoits have misdirected our earnings of the wage earners and in the name of poor settlement the water reservoir around Dhaka city are filled by the money of poor earners and NGO fund. Under Pallabi PS our reveal showed that at Duaripara under supervision of local ward commissioner those illegal establishments are built up and at Kalshi the same picture was seen. When these people's per capita shall be increased would they be replaced. Rather it is better to refurbish the housing settlement to this poor man under state and jakat fund. Investigation showed that those slums are being used as the shelter of the criminals and anti social activities. We expect that to take cheap clap this canal grabbing policy shall be the boomerang to the peoples living in Dhaka . The same policy wherever in country is taken shall be the same consequences, inshallah.

Highest land in Dhaka: Pallabi PS under water for lack of care
BM DESK ,13 June 2007:
The alarming situation of the drainage system in DCC is so unplanned that the high land like Pallabi PS in Dhaka goes underwater while the rain drops intensely. Besides, the natural water storage around ,for instance, Kalpani and Duaripar and behind the proposed Sagufta were packed up illegally made the situation worsen. The side drainage around the roads are made unplanned and the illegal establishments, for instances, near Mirpur-11 vegetables market (in the pictures) the road turned like the ditch. The local area commissioners of the wards are absconded and the local DCC and other public utility departments are reluctant to deliver the service as required. The reports of the dailies have never caught up by the local administration.
More pictures:
From Left: 1. Mirpur 11 , it is one of the important road as the slaughter house is ahead, whrears. 2. Mirpur -11 vegetables road adjacent road are occupied illegally and the condition of the road is frustrating. 3. B- block ,road 8 ,Section #12 ,Pallabi last year spending huge amount of money drainage was built since it was not properly built the road is inundated when ever rain starts . 4. road of Mirpur B block ,road 8 ,Section #12 ,Pallabi ( Under ward 5 & 6. Both of the comissioners are absconded after the declaraton of state of emergency, the cause for the absconding is portrayed in the photographs)
Man is not a physical property; it is a physiological property as well. Both physical and physiological property builds up a sound man. In doing so it is required to have play, swim and other sort of games. In Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh , the opportunity is being abridged as the land grabbers have grabbed the play ground, garden, open green space to pacify their appetite. These demons are so rude to the Dhaka dwellers that they have secured the responsibility to develop Dhaka . With the support of corrupted politicians and beauracrats, the public sector has also inclined to devour Dhaka city. As a result the boys have to be pushed in the busy roads to play and girls have to be caged before the square TV box. Consequently, the physiological impaired generation may destroy the objectivity of a moral, progressive state. Our prophet Hazrat Muhammad(SM) inspired to teach horse riding, fencing etc to the kids, however, the authority is not arranging the opportunity. The condition of Shisu Park in Shahbagh is so fragile that there have been no major improvements since its inception. The Sishu park in Shamoli is so expensive that the parents can no longer interested to enter there.
Once in old Dhaka inter area tournaments were arranged, those vanished due to feud for donation and the disappearance of play grounds. The demand of housing is going upward; however, the city plan can no longer be terminated by dint of careless city dwellers .Then why are the authority like -the City Development Authority, DCC and Sports Ministry being assigned ?
Dhaka Metropolitan Development plan announced to promote open space and recreation facilities exploiting the resource of vacant and under utilize government land with in the established urban areas. Besides, Dhaka 's ponds have been disappeared for the same cause. To fulfill the storage of flood water as well as rainy water the ‘Flood retarding ponds' should have been available. Unfortunately the plan is not yet been implemented since 1995. The Muslim rulers in the middle ages, they dug big ponds for the supply of water and as a result neither there was shortage of drinking water nor shortage of place of swim.
In Dhaka there should be swimming pool, however, the same need is being overlooked by the authority.
In this circumstance, we want to present the demand to the authority for the greater benefit to the city dwellers. And the same steps should be taken to the other metropolis in Bangladesh .
Rainy season is coming and city shall be inundating
BM research , 18th April 2007:
The rainy season is coming very soon. Although it is summer, there shall be raining every now and then .Unfortunately the roads shall be so muddy in the rural areas that it might be hard to move to and fro. On the other hand, in the urban areas, particularly in Dhaka the situation in some areas shall be worst than expected. The building materials are illegally piled in the road side and at the time of rain those materials (sand) shall be washed away in the drainage and make blockade for the easy passage of over drops of rain which causes inundation in different areas: mainly in Mirpur-10, Malibagh, Shantinagar, Budda, Demra, old Dhaka and different parts of Dhaka city . The water shall be stayed there for few days. The investigation suggested that the pipes are jammed with the plastic bottles, polythene bags, aluminum foil and household garbage are the basic matters casued the blockede .
The DCC are less reluctant in some areas basically the open drainage at Mirpur-10, Malibagh and Lalbagh areas. This reviewer also tried to talk with one officer of MODS Wasa at Shegunbagicha regards to the problem on the upcoming rainy season. The officer reluctant to disclose his identity that there are two sides of the drainage: one under DCC, other under MODS wasa, first of the entire entire complainer should mention of the department should deal with the matter.
We hope that the officer expressed his opinion at his profession level, however, it must be understood that the Good government would minimize the problem without having thrown the issue in the ambiguity .More clearly , the tax payer common people want to be freed from the inundation in the upcoming rainy season.
Noted : Findings in the drain : tetra pack, aluminium foil pack of biscuits & chips, plastic beverage bottle (PP), building materials : brick ,sand, rubbish ,house hold garbage , condom etc.
The law is not properly implemented in the question to stocking building materials in front of the building in Dhaka city. Heaps of sand mud and road side dried mud (digging up) polluting the environment of Dhaka city. The contingency department of Dhaka Municipality Corporation, Rajuk, Area Commissioner, local administration and local co-operative society- all are involved to breed this problem. It is imperative to take rapid action to save the people from air pollution.
Dhaka along with other municipalities in Bangladesh suffer from a common administrative diseases. The open drainages are the breeding ground of mosquitoes and the garbage bins as well. The idle role of the employees of the conservancy department of the municipalities doubled the sufferings. These drainages are used as the death trap for the passers by too. Further more, those produce bad smell and for that city dwellers have to suffer, even to relief they have to pay a lot more other than tax . We request to the concerned authority to take necessary actions in order to make cities cleaner, safer and nicer .
'MOSQUITO TERRORIST' still bites
BM desk:
Do you recognize it? Can you ask to your school going child what is this? If you can not or your child can not find the answer –then make plan to check your drainage next to your gate in the up coming holiday .
It is nothing but the larvae of the mosquito which bites you and your children in the night and makes your sleep uneasy and spread diseases .When the media writes too much against the terrorism of mosquitoes the fog gun and lots of armored vehicles rush to the spot and kill .If the media does not write and receives assistance from the engineering and respective department of DCC and other municipality,Pouroshava then every body put the toilet tissue paper in the mouth and enjoy ,later peoples expect so that Military,RAB shall come and catch the god father of the mosquito terrorist.
Can you believe that a Chief Engineer Saiful Islam of Sylhet City Corporation have the property of one hundred crore taka ? While the joint force arrested him he confessed the allegation and wanted to repay the looted money.
If this is the picture of Sylhet CC, then what should be the picture of DCC, where masses of Dhaka are still being bitten by the mosquitoes? If the statistics of mosquito bitten patient can be gathered by the Chief Adviser Dr. Fakruddin Ahmed , then he could kill the mosquitoes not the million dollar's fowls. Our country can no longer be freed from the international chess players.
Anyway, mosquitoes are the source of income of some gentlemen and so that the engineer in DCC has great demand in the marriage market. The wives, fathers- in –law feel much more proud since they have got the golden mountains or Aladin's lamp. And the Mayor of DCC, little to discuss. Because the wise understand with a little phrase. Few days' back one gentle man informed me that he once visited the DCC store room at Mugdapara in Dhaka and found lots of drums full of mosquito killing pesticides. He asked to the authority why these were not using to the drainage .He replied that the head office received money from the mosquito coils company. Then I remember news about the authority of Jankantha Shilpo paribar. The report said that this group paid 30 lacs taka bribe to DCC per month as they have the GLOBE MOSQUITO COIL Company.
N addition, few days back I visited to old DOHS and smelt pesticide that I did not smell in Mirpur except the sheet. Then I asked what the wrong is if the whole country merges in to the cantonment? Later I asked we have the mayor of nationalist freedom fighter –then why do we think.
Unfortunately the mosquito terrorists bite and bleed other than the foreign soldier ( we can not deny that Indian force are feeding , they (BSFof India ) killed 9300 Bangladeshi since 1971 to 2001 ,see seminar sarok grontho,BIC Katabon Masque Complex, page 36)
Can the allied force cover up the muddy drainage to save us from the mosquito terrorist? So far I know you are trained to dig the trench.
