Major portions of the population in Bangladesh are heavily dependant on rural sub-occupations. Hence, there is a huge opportunity to bring revolutionary changes in the field of agriculture through the application of modern machineries and usage of fertilizer in stead of traditional agricultural methodologies. In view of that, for the development of national economy, Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited is playing an important role investing to agricultural sector. In this regard, the bank has undertaken a project entitled by “agricultural goods investment project”. Under this project farmers are provided agricultural goods for the production of agricultural goods and for the employment of the rural youth, power tiller and power pump are supplied.
Rural Development Project:
In the economy of Bangladesh , rural sector plays a significant role. However, a major portion of the rural people remains inactive for the scarcity of wealth in order to meet the least demand for the livelihood and dearth for necessary opportunity for employment or they are living in miserable lives by selling their labors cheaply. Besides, for the wide gap existed between urban and rural area in pursuance of wealth and income and dearth for the equal distribution of wealth, the rural society has become economically paralyzed. Islami Bank advances towards precise distribution in the society on the light of equal and just economic principles. In this regard, the Bank has introduced to rural development projects those include: elimination of poverty of the rural people, development of rural economy through the development of the fate of the poor and share croppers and to establish the ideal village.

Foreign remittance is one of the momentous factors for national economy. Islami Bank, from its commencement, being imposed the activities on delegation in home and abroad, encouraging Bangladeshis to send money through banking channel. By the initiative of the Islami Bank, remitting money through banking channel, major portions of the overseas wage earners are playing a significant role in the national economy. Bar to money-laundering:
Bar to money laundering is a significant national issue. Islami bank has taken various initiatives in order to create public awareness to bar money laundering.
There is a caustic impact of money laundering alias hundi on the national economy, security and social structure. The adverse effects of it include:
It inspires to criminality and the criminality of drug dealer, black marketer, terrorist, illegal arms dealer and corrupt public servant along with other anti-social activist are nourished by it.
In order to curve money laundering, the expanses in the law and order sector and medical sector are increased. In support of it, the medical expanse of the drug addicts may be brought as an instance.
The revenue of the Government plunges in consequence of money laundering and indirectly affects to the real tax payers. The launderer so evade tax is to be paid by the real tax payer excessively.
The money earned by unfair means pillages the financial institute of the country. Bribe brings social deterioration as it destroys the morality of the public servants.
By its effect, the power of the society may be vested on the criminals that may harm to the entire society.
In the age of globalization, the image of the financial institutions becomes so unpleasant that can not be predictable by the nation.
Any financial institution, bank so involved in money laundering and if that is proved may face to face difficulty of the same.
Money Laundering Deterrent Act, 2009 has been promulgated in order to bar the production of illegal wealth in the country and to stop to smuggle the wealth.
In this regard the person so convicted may be awarded for imprisonment that may be no less than 6 months and not more than 7 years and the resources so involved in that may be confiscated in favor of the country.
For curving money laundering opening bank account, withdrawing money, supplying and preserving complete information about the subscriber, it is requested to be pro-active to assist the bank authority.

Road is drenched with dairy milk!!
BM DESK, 1 st Boishak, 1416:
A.
If you read the history of Muslim rule in Bengal and the subcontinent at large, you may not mind so much complexity in the field that is happening now. Apart from some ‘palace - turmoil' most of the time, the people of the region had enjoyed peaceful life. The ruling class was always busy and to constitute different strategy so that the subjects of the state could achieve maximum benefit from the state. No matter what it be called – Sultanat, khelafat – most of them tried to follow the model of Abbasid Khelafat, the contemporary khelafat model in Baghdad . Although it was the faded glory of Islamic rule, if we suppose it as a model of good for nothing, it was the model – truly successful to entertain the good governance at that time in the region. It could be elaborately discussed, but the main theme that I want to tell would be diverted. So I request to the readers to read the history of that era that I mentioned which may pacify the curiosity. After 1757 when the English traders invaded our country and grab the power they have given us few things in our history:
They divided the Muslims and with other groups belonged to different religious group.
Either public service or military service, they had kicked the Muslims out and within few months hundreds of Muslim families became the street beggars.
They uprooted the Muslim business class and made them poor applying crooked strategy. For instance, the Muslin workers who had world famous reputation in weaving legendary ‘Moslin' had been cut their hands and in the sector of agriculture the English cultivated blue or nil which devastated the fertile of the soil and gradually most of the Muslim areas had to adopt poorly life. Even though they gradually engaged in different antisocial activities for the survival.
At last, in 1947 when the Muslims of the sub-continent had successfully established Pakistan , the legacy of the English rule had never been ended. Yet, both the Bengali and West Pakistani tried to set up a robust country, when in 1965 when we were able to defeat India , there was a grave conspiracy weaved to dismantle the Pakistan and through different strategy a new country Bangladesh was born which was not mandated in 1970 election. Joseph Farlend and ‘revenge of thousand years' famous lady leader had got a prime opportunity that they were able to create a new bazaar and the East India company had the opportunity again. This is the core element of the Bangladeshi politics that the local Muslims have to face again and again. Had the East India Company got any instance to paint their heinous rule through 1971? Reader may think.
B.
Few days ago I was reading a news paper and suddenly my couple of eyes was fixed on that. Some peoples were drenching cow milk on the street. Initially I thought the country was now flooded by milk and the age of Shaista Khan has come again! When I had gone through the news further, I was surprised. What a pity! They were drenching the street with milk as they were not getting proper work order by the GOB owned Milk Vita and other milk supplying giant company in the country as it was used to be. Due to huge importation of milk powder from India , the dairy farmers from Pabna, Sirajgonj and adjacent region had been in a fix. Such a picture had never been seen before. While last Governments patronized local farmers in producing milk locally, why is the new GOB moving to the opposite? On 5 April, 2009 The Daily Prothom reported that dairy farmers of Pabna and Sirajgonj had drenched 25 mounds of milk in the street in protest to the curtailment of their order. The farmers told the reports that as the private and public dairy processing factories had reduced quantum of order; they were supposed to be warped. Regional Manager (collection) of Pran Sharifuddin Talukdar said, “Since the cheap milk powder and milk is coming from India , the local milk industry can no longer compete to them.”
We see lots of brands of foreign baby-food in the markets and lots of advertisements in the newspaper and TV channels. Although these advertisemnts may temporarily make benefit to certain groups, a large numbers of farmers who have created jobs through their long effort, are really very close to the devastation of their existence. It is the same class who did not go to New Zealand , Australia, Denmark , India, rather they are raising cattle and arranged dairy milk can no longer be make devastated due to the GOB policy.
Since pure milk is good for health and real substitute to powder and since the GOB is committed to safe-guard the domestic products, it is unexpected that they would allow to import cheaper Indian milk at this moment, although the price is cheaper now, it would certainly be jumped when the local producers will shut down their dairy farms whish is called dumping.
No matter what the policy is undertaken, whole responsibility is vested on the leader of the cabinet! Obliteration to the local industry is one of the policies undertaken after 1757. To what side this new Government wants to stand?

Electricity crisis and our own intellect
BM research, 26 March, 2009 :
There is no doubt that we have lost our mental strength in question to the national interest of the country rather than our own narrow interest. In order to safeguard the national interest of the country we should have so much intellect and patriotism that we might get a prosperous and happy Bangladesh. Unfortunately, we have sold such moral values just for grabbing the bless of the aid agency and vested investors that we often able to demonstrate our ability to select the right alternative which might be the best option for the country.
Recently a new Government has been formed; unfortunately the public security and overall environment of the educational institutions, the recklessness and irresponsibility has been so nakedly demonstrated that the future of the country has already been dropped in a dark trench and we are really worried about that. No matter what the reason, we have witnessed such carnage in our disciplined forces in Pilkhana that ultimately challenged the security of the country and for this the Government may never discharge the burden of responsibility since a vigorous security failure has been made done successfully which made India a ground to offer to send peace keeping force in Bangladesh as like as Maldives, Srilanka,Sikim, is a dark spot of the history of Bangladesh.
Now I would concentrate to the electricity crisis in Bangladesh . Apart from rest of the country, form the observation, at least, in my residing area Pallabi police station, and we are kept in darkness nearly 6 hours a day-night.Consequently neither we are able to play attention to our economic activities nor can we be pacified from bizarre warm.Since we do not get any dole money from the country, in the one hand , and we are deprived of continuing income generated activities , the ultimately result is to face economic crisis. For demanding electricity there was a riot broke out in my area in BNP regimes few years back, after the riot we were supplied electricity regularly which inspire to conclude that are we being bound to do another type of anarchy in the country so that peacekeeping force may arrive. After 1/11 we saw that task force monitored the central control room of the national greed and the situation was bit improved. Afterwards when all the activities of the taskforce was stopped by whisper of the hiring British parliamentarians and so called aid agencies, situation started to be moved in the same direction. Moreover, a broker class made a hue and cry that the ‘all are frightened' (sobi ekhon sonkito). If small numbers of criminals are frightened for strict monitoring, then what is the problem to the rest of the common peoples like us? This was the beginning of the grievous derailment to make blunt the public service in most recent years. While ‘no matter what the cow is red or black, the question is whether the cow may give milk.' ultimately we have started to be achieved in such a service that we are started to be lived like ‘a beast!'.
Last year we advised to the GOB to introduce renewable energy and also advised to recover the dues from the subscribers of the electricity so that they may upgrade the standard of service. In addition, we protested to the prescription of World Bank and IMF to hike the electricity bill. But the same vested policy makers did not pay a heed and could not depend on their own mental strength. At that time, when we prepared the comment, we simply thought that in this way the domestic production cost would be lower and we may compete to and since the utility bills of the household will be down fallen, the standard of the people might be rocketed. This simple assumption was articulated just reading the data from ‘Bangladesh Economic Survey -2005' published from the Planning Commission that I bought from Paltan book shops , not being provoked by any interest group.
Recently, the issue has been raised since the electricity is not obtained and the public fury is coming to cross the border. New GOB has not shown any thing positive and straight way noticed to the peoples that they would not solve the problem. In that perspective many forums have arranged seminars to deliver their suggestion to GOB.
We know that when Bangladesh Awami League came in to power after 1995, they firstly raised proposal to the people that in order to pacify the electricity problem, electricity had to be imported from India( the same ambition is echoed by Shamsul Haq Tuku, the Poti--Minister of Electricity)( see the paper cutting above) ,but the patriotic force foiled their vested plan. Afterwards, when the newly Government came to power, a new prince along with his boil rice seller friend in Gulistan and fifth column in the administration started to run Generators business, so the disease turned into another direction and am jonota remained in the same darkness. The newly power stations those have been installed in the last BNP lead 4 party regime, ought to be come into operation in 2008. But we are not able to know why that target has not been achieved or if they are complete is there any policy has been undertaken so that we may be bound to say that ‘Bring electricity from India !' The nation has the right to know the status of the heinous plots.
The controversy regarding the supply of gas in the electricity producing plant has come in to open day light. There are two contrdictory informations have been known to us. First, gas is diverted to electricity producing plant instead of Fertilizer Company. Second, from a leftist seminar that gas was not supplied to the power plant as per the direction of the foreign countries. In such a situation, we must remind to the GOB that we need milk, we should not know about the color of cow. There should be two term policy: short term policy and long term policy. Since most of the power plants are driven by gas, they should not cut the supply of gas since peoples are suffering from electricity disorder, they should supply gas for the production of electricity and within one or two years GOB must concentrate to building renewable power plant such as hydro-electricity project. The vested interest group was never attentive to upgrade the production of Kaptai – Hydro electricity project. If barge mounted electricity plant may be installed at khalishpur in Khulna , then why shall not be installed such hydro electricity project may be installed on the Meghna river or different rivers in the country. Sub is another asset of the country that we can use to generate electricity. In addition, we have a long costal region where wind is asset that is also usable to generate electricity. In this regard, we must notify to the renewable energy research centre of Dhaka University that they should be active and the lazy brokers who have been working and sucking money from there for a long should resigned from their inactiveness.
All we know that the reserve of gas may remain for only 50 years in Bangladesh. After that, how can be obtained gas as raw materials for the usage of these sophisticated power plants? Gas or coal may be supplied to the household and other industrial usage for instance steel industry as most of the households of the country burn wood. If we avoid such renewable and independent source, it may be evident that our policy is totally targeted to make our energy sector dependent on India .
Lastly, since we have set ourselves free from Pindi we must not go back to Delhi unnecessarily.
From left: Muslim bazar at D block ,Mirpur 12 no. bazar , Mirpur 11 no. bazar, Duaripara bazar , the same picture are in different markets of Dhaka
' Jatka ' and ' Piranha fish ' flourished in the market, but..
BM investigation, 18 June ,2007 ( rechecked 14 April ,2009 ):
Out of total supply of the fish, 15 % is achieved from the Hilsha fish in Bangladesh . It is very demanding in local as well as international market. The baby fish of Hilsha is locally called ‘ Jatka '. This baby fish catching is declared as illegal by the authority since it decreases the production of matured fish. Existing law prohibits catching, selling the baby hilsha : Jatka. 1.41 crore taka was allocated in the fiscal year 2003-2004 in order to save Jatka . In part of it a committee headed by administration, Navy, Coast guard, Law enforcement agency, Fisheries department and local representative to check the catching jatka. By 1655 drive 1.22 crore meter 'current net' worth of 82.92 crore was caught, 348 metric tons of Jatka was caught and 115 case were filed against the convicts which increased the production of hilsha of 0.56 metric tonnes in the projected period. To rehabilitate the jatka catcher, the GOB allotted 10 crore for 3 years term. Those efforts went in vain in the last years and this year under new leadership the picture has not been changed .Visiting the local markets , jatka selling is seen rampant which justifies that the Hilsha production may plunge this year. All the fish markets in Pallabi PS Jatka is selling rampant and other markets in other Police Station ,source informed, that the picture is same. Visiting Mirpur1, Mirpur 11, Muslim Bazar, Duaripara, Kazi Para, Shewrapara it is seen Jatka is selling under different name in order to cheat the law enforcing agency and to the customers . Different local peoples informed that the line men of different PS collect the inducement/bribe for the local authority . In the wholesale market handsome amount of money is transected for trouble free business.
Caption: This photo is taken from Duaripara fish market in Pallabi PS.
In addition, another bad news for the fish stock in Bangladesh : the cultivation of Piranha fish . This fish is seen to be sold by this reviewer in Karwanbazar and duaripara bazaar and Muslim bazaar at Pallabi PS . Many said that these fishes are being sold in different parts of Dhaka as well as in other parts of Bangladesh . Few years back, some newspapers published the report concerning the Piranha sale . However, it was little known about the steps taken by the authority to stop the production, selling the said fish. Basically this fish was imported in Katabon from Thailand as ornamental fish. Few peoples hatched it in the pond and now it is sold in a large scale for daily food.
This fish is very aggressive and harmful to the other spices in the pond .The diversity of fish stock in Bangladeshi water storage must be imblanced if this fish is commercially produced with out caution and proper ways .Even it has not yet been confirmed about the food value by the experts . According to Dick Mills and Dr.Gwynne Vevers (1982), “The scientific name of Piranha is Serrasalmus nattereri, family SERRASAL MIDAE. This fish was widely distributed in South America, Amazon, Orinoco, Parana . Most dangerous characteristic of this fish is that it likes meat and if any living fleshy creatures move nearer to ,it devours with sharp pointed teeth. Since Bangladesh is densely populated and if this fish are cultured there is a maximum possibility to have human casualties. In the southern region of Bangladesh , lots of peoples spare their organs, even lives by the attack of shark .The same consequence would be repeated in the sweet water if this fish is cultured. For the ferocious nature 'African magur' is totally uprooted from Bangladesh.
I request to the authority to take necessary action to stop Jatka sellers in selling those fishes and to stop the production of culturing Piranha fish in order to save the stock of fisheries in Bangladesh . Instead it is better to pay attention to produce other fishes like Tuna and salmon fish in Bangladesh : the authority is responsible to make aware of the fact.
Do you know that Tamuddun Majlis demanded for Bengali as the state language of Pakistan just after the creation of Pakistan ? If you do not know please get through the history. It was the organization first realized that for the regional people under the Unified Pakistan, Bengali should be the state language and they further realized that it is the appropriate language can be a medium of learning to understand Al -Quaran. The first booklet published by the organization portrayed this reality. Unfortunately for the then Pakistani regime and joint collaboration of the leftists , 1952 had been staged and the movement had been hijacked by the leftist and consequently killing of Shamsul Haq of Tangail , the founder of Awami Muslim League , which later became Awami League by the secular munafik party . In the concurrence of the time, a part of the leftists merged in that party and tried to formulate 1973 constitution which first recognized ‘Communism'; the prime target of this organization was to erase out the name of Islam from the heart of Bengal area. The history of the following period, less or more, is known to us.
Those who were engaged in the movement of Tamuddun Majlis later most of them did not diverted from the mission of Islam – Professor Abdul Gafur, Golam Azam all are acting in the filed to restore the principle of Islam. But for the lack of consciousness and their deviation they did not handle the situation properly. Yet, we, the Bangladeshi Muslim patronize Bengali more than the secular. For instance, in the sign board of Islami Bank Bangladesh , Bengali is placed top of the sign board. On the other hand, many secular and western sponsored organizations do the opposite. You may check. Yet, for the role of few Muslim, some says that Muslim killed Muslim in 1952! It is the tragedy! George Fernandez- Laurence of Arabia are always stay behind!
B.
Recently the Bangladeshi Muslim workers fought for the right of proper salary. Consequently, they have been deported from the countries like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia whereas these are the countries who donated a great deal of money on the toughest moment in the southern part of Bangladesh after the devastation of Sidar. In my writing about the experience in Australia I did not cremate the fact that the Arab brothers are not really ‘Brother ‘most of them indeed! Recently Asif Nazrul has written an article in the Daily Prothom Alo about the dogma of the brother! I did not wonder at his perception because usually ‘brother' substantially an allergic word to a quarter of the thinktank usually visits USA , by the sponsor of the same country. It is the USA which is deporting the overstayed peoples in the similar manner but less talk about it .
Any public unrest can not be tolerated by the customary law of a country. No matter what it is a Middle Eastern country or any other European or Eastern Countries. The Bangladeshi arranged strikes in Kuwait for mitigating to their problems and since they did, consequently arranged hard stunt and had been deported nearly two thousands. Many Western humanitarians are showing their dissatisfaction to as they had been blood shed. It is the difference between Western and Middle Eastern. The Westerners make you destitute and usually they do not drain blood rather put behind the immigration detention center's bars. Charging an abnormal amount of dolor pound, euro, pound which is latter grabbed in different ways from their respective embassies, for instance, over charging embassy fees.
When oil flourished Middle East, a great deal of developmental projects had been undertaken by them and Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Philippine workers participated in their development works which ultimately contributed in developing Bangladesh economy . However, the middlemen's conspiracy and corruptive roles of the respective Ministry of Bangladesh did not properly manage the bless! As a result, success turned in to tears in some cases which were real dismal episodes. The contributions of the brother in some cases have been overshadowed for them. Yet, we are optimistic that the Honorable Saudi Ambassador Dr. Bushiree, requested to the Government of Bangladesh to check the recruiting agents who , for the sake of money, misguide the heard earning Bangladesh rural poor people. At an interview with the Daily Naya Diganta on 15 th July 2008 he opined such a suggestion. Similarly, he praised to the Bangladeshi brothers who are contributing to the development of Saudi Arabia while he formally visited to the office of the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh Dr. Fakruddin Ahmed on 23 July 2008. He informed to the Chief Adviser that SA Embassy is issuing one thousand visas every day for the Bangladeshi workers. It is good indeed. Yet, by our observation for the issuance of visa the Embassy provides the Arabic version of the visa which is really obscure to read out. In this case, they pay provide Bengali version too. Because, many Bangladeshi recruiting agency takes money providing a fake visa which is instantly unreadable to the illiterate poor rural workers. If Bengali is provided they may, at least, understand the validity of the visa. Besides, if Saudi and other Arab countries where Arabic is the state language may contact with the NCTB so that they may include Arabic as the compulsory secondary language for the Bangladeshi students since most of the skilled and manual labors have the access to those countries . We hope it may be easily done by signing a long term contract with the Bangladeshi Government. If this signing is publicly announced they may be assured and may prepare to shape their career accordingly. A long gap for the bureaucrats and the taut recruiting agencies this sector becomes problem burden to have smooth and speedy operation. Regarding the mismanagement of the Middle Eastern countries another bizarre scene is seen in front of the Saudi Air Lines ticket counter in Sonargaon Hotel at Karwan Bazar where many Bangladeshis have to wait for the tickets unnecessarily. All these may be solved by their intervention since all this mismanagement belongs to their side. We know , in different corporate decision making level different religious back ground communities from India are active in Saudia Arabia as well as other Gulf states , it should be kept in mind that they do not want to exist the brotherly relation with Bangladesh. Another chaos breeding country is Kuwait where lots of Bangladeshis had been battered and deported. The Parliament of Kuwait is adopting a bill getting ensured the rights of the workers which may ultimately benefit to Bangladeshi , a source added. The Humanitarian Committee of the Kuwait Parliament brought a bill before the Parliament which suggested to maximum 15 years of imprisonment for the mandatory work, maltreatment to the workers and sexual maltreatment with the maid -servant . The bill proposed : commerce with the human being was a crime. The human kind had been observing to such a picture for centuries and suffering from this agony. The same is being repeated in different manner now too. The MP of Kuwait Parliament Walid Al Tartari said, “Declaring human smuggling as a crime, a draft resolution has been brought before the Parliament. In order to meet the international demand it may be a civilized Act. ” So it is the positive out come of the resolution of the crisis. Thanks.
C.
When the westerners have firstly introduced black and white: these two words to differentiate humankind, we the Muslim had used ‘brother' to define all the people in the world who have accepted Islam as their religion. As like as in Bangladesh , many are divided in different groups as they have been deviation from Islam: Middle Easterners in some cases are not different to that. They are loosely plasticizing to their belief and for their role the western shylocks have been loaded over their shoulders.
If injustice was a real practicing by some employer - the authority ought to take over the matter beforehand. Since it was not done beforehand, on the contrary, the steps taken as callus and brutal manner - not justifiable. On the other hand, if the movement of the Bangladeshi Muslim Workers may one day be justifiable and being justified now too, then these workers should be honored by the Middle Easterners. Retreat against injustice is the teaching of Islam; it can be hijacked by the conspirators. Hope the authority of Bangladesh and the Middle Easterners would not give any chance to dismantle our brotherly relation who promotes and weave conspiracy to shatter the relation. Movement for Bengali was not a wrong approach, but it was hijacked to shatter the unity – the drivers could not watch then conclusively!!!
On time agricultural loan may ensure such a bumper production!
Focus on Loan Procurement: Eliminating corruption from the financial institution.
<Waheed Murad >
In order to alleviate poverty from Bangladesh there is no alternative remains in ensuing the flow of credit. While a person is leaned against a financial institution to procure a loan or credit, it is a frustrating drawback from the same. Hassle and delay are common phenomenon in this respect. A massive complain of corruption in this regard, “Money deal may beget the loan easily and speedily, otherwise not”
We deem too, a more or less corruption deal might have been done wherein the money deal is rampant – however, held, commonly all the officers and employees are likely to be involved is irrelevant and quash able. The financial institution, Bank contributing provided by necessary credit facilities to the economical activities in Bangladesh , commonly carrying out vision and objective is to enhance the economic level of Bangladesh , upgrading the status of down -trodden people i.e employing the unemployed young people. Basically, if the unemployed and poor peoples are able to be self- reliant , in that case, we presume that an ideal and appropriate field of investment has been nourished . No matter what the financial institution disburses the loan, unless having been disbursed the loan in appropriate time and transparent manner, the recovery of such credit faces inconsistency and quandary. In course of time, the given loan turns in to bad loan.
Subduing such corruption and ambiguity, first and foremost prerequisite is to have compliance and responsibility of a person. It is revealed that the assistance of the government along with the moral support, it can be easily wiped out such corruption and aggravation.
First of all, we may pay attention to the feature wherein harassment or corruption may be hatched. It is wisely spoken that the bottom level branches are likely to be more suspicious than those of the head office or urban based branches. This piece of writing may concurrence the activities swamped in the field level.
It is expected to make an appropriate selection of entrepreneur for disbursing any kind of loan or credit. Otherwise doing so it might be difficult to recover the amount of loan aforesaid with profit . In order to select a loan the field worker plays a significant role in this regard. After having procured the application for loan, the objective of procuring loan, eligibility for the same, the social status and dignity are substantial ingredients too.
In many cases, in the field level prayers are given which are occupied by forged documents. The village taut class plays a significant role for the same. At times, the officers or employees might have been involved in pursuing so. Forged documents, record, submission of the land or factory are provided. The corrupted officers /employees of the Department of Revenue are involved – a source has provided.
Aided by the taut in the field level, if it is approached to be disbursed the loan, it is common to have been committed corruption. The Branch Manager would be more cautious and the moral and religious value of the filed worker ought to be essentially privileged.
For the contract farmer, it is a mere challenge to disburse loan to the fake land. The village elite classes increase their private businesses by grabbing a great deal of loan being drawn under the name of huge fake contract farmers. As a result recovery of loan becomes problem burden and in some cases it becomes difficult to recover the principal by law suit. If irregularity is championed for the selection of the loan recipient, recommendation and allotment are faced by a great challenge. Member-Chairman or local elite of the area, at times, sanctions identity certificate sporadically which eventually leads irregular recovery and consequently the recipient becomes defaulter.
If loan disbursement is not done as per the serial of the account, corruption might have been practiced. At time of crop cultivation demand for the loan remains upward. As a result one might expect to maximize the amount of loan quickly by illegal means. Regarding this, the filed workers and Bank Managers must demonstrate to their honesty. The Branch Manager must concentrate to whether any body keeps the documents in the drawers leaving the record without endorsing case number. Though a person deserves to borrow loan, however, recommending allowing below amount in order to achieve illegal facilities. In order to restrain such a malpractice, inquisitive surveillance is expected from the Higher Authority.
Moreover, regarding report loan – the bank personnel or brokers are allegedly involved – they raise a special fund collectively. Any illegal mind set is hatched among them: in order to manage excess loan they conceive to the party and by depositing the borrowed money with their own saving and again achieve illegal opportunities at time of further loan. Such a malpractice is no more tolerable.

Role of a politician and ‘Pump house' credit!
BM Desk,01 June,2008
A.
As per the current political system, the people's representatives by the direct votes who formulate laws in the legislative council are called Member of Parliament and since to come to the legislative council they need to get the support of the citizen by the vote, it is thought that they may regularly monitor the lob dub of the heart of the people, on account of that they are called the politician as it occupies the whole identity of politics. The secondary roles are followed by the Executive and Judiciary council and they execute the law by the public servant. In order to survive the system, the citizen pays direct and indirect taxes, tariffs to this system. The ultimate expectation from this system of the citizen is to get a happier and trouble Free State .
Unfortunately, the organs of the political system in Bangladesh have not maintained coherence properly which had created instability and unhappiness. By the lack of knowledge and awareness of the common people, the persons who have been involved in the three bodies – legislative, executive and judiciary have been reshaped themselves as father and mother of the nation, even in the doldrums they have forgot that they are the ‘servant of the people' . For this realization, they have followed different tactics. Through different hieratical mechanism they have harbored a great deal of hassles by the name of service to the public and ultimately corruption has been deep rooted. Apart from the above mentioned groups, business groups and most powerful western supported NGOs and the Ulema who try to follow the principles of Al- Quaran have played a significant pressure group. When civil administration becomes in a fix Military Beaurocracy is seen dominant in the Politics of Bangladesh. In 1975, to assassin to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman we saw that the Military played a dominated role although; a part of the Military in 1971 prepared the path of his appearance in the bench of power as Prime Minister. His inclination to India and suspicious and even openly anti-Islamic stunt prepared the ground for the 15 th August 1975.After his disappearance China and Saudia Arabia recognized Bangladesh and still today these two countries are vigorously supporting Bangladesh in all respect. After the changing the scenario in 1975 Military man Ziaur Rahman became the President and unfortunately he was killed by the RAW that was known from the different sources. Another source said the to reunite broken Awami League, even BNP General Hussein Muhammad Earshad grabbed the power in 1982. Our Jahangirnagar University teacher of Government and Politics said in his regular class lecture (Bangladesh Politics in Masters) that Mr. Earshad came to the power to united broken Awami League and even he played his role to unite BNP. That means although we say political party are the different platform, ultimately, they called Military for their existence. So those who rebuke Military all time should look their own faces at length. Anyway the civil politics outburst from the egg shell in 1991 when Khaleda Zia ruled till the defeat by Awami League in 1996 by Sheikh Hasina and the same till the defeat by 4- party alliance lead by BNP and the BNP lead by Khalda Zia.
By this it was evident that none had openly took the stunt against the basic principles of Islam but they did not properly utilized the ideal rather it was used as the barometer of their popularity and another phenomenon was seen that forceful grab and utilizing the power a section being beneficiary vote to that leader that is seen in the case of Earshad and BNP. But the power struggle of the non beneficiary put tress on the political system and many changes have been done in the system. No matter what the changes have been done the changes those have not been done, the leaders have to be prosecuted. Present ‘politics of trail' is the result of have-nots. It is enjoyable before some parts of the citizen because they have been deprived of getting what they should have been. The level of suffering of the sufferings might have been mitigated if the whole political system was kind hearted to their system. If they could treat her citizen Very Important Persons (VIPs) instead of their relatives, associates then we must be a prosperous country .Since we have not got; the drama of the politics of Bangladesh must be enjoyable. In addition, those who responsible the system it is really a bull shit since all the systems have been experienced. That we have not got a good man who may be happier when he may look at the jolly faces of the citizen. Our Prophet Muhammad (SM) had the same responsibility to his fellows, so he created an era .Even when we see the rule of the Muslim Rulers in Bengal area; most of them are even popular for their love and commitment to the citizens although every body had not the same quality.
B.
On 12 March, 2008 in the Daily Samokal, a strong Awami Supporter Daily published a prayer for setting free of the former MP Kamal Ahmed Mojumder for his ; “significant contribution” in the region. The prayer was forwarded by “Greater mass people of different class- occupation of Mirpur”. Since I did not sign on the prayer I am mere confused who the mass people was.
I want to catch the attention of the reader about his significant contribution (?) of setting 68 water pumps in the region by the help of the Ministry of the Local Government as it was ,mentioned in the prayer . Since I am the resident of Pallabi in his constituent, I am personally victims to his many more the contribution; amongst the water supply specially .You all know that in modern cities, water is stored in a large mounted tank and pumping water in to the tank stored water will be distributed trough wide pipe and as per the Pascal theory, water would be bound to go up to the toilet at the level of large mounted tank. But for his ‘contribution' we have not got water properly; how the national loss of his contribution had depended be proved as follows:
If 5000000 people live in a unit of house by 5 members then total numbers of the units are 1000000. If 1000000 spends 50 taka extra electric bill for the operation of water pump then total cost (1000000 x 50) = 50000000 taka /month , if it could be deducted by operating roof top tank then the resident of Mirpur may saved ¾ of the monthly cost . In addition to the 50000000 taka, electricity bill of operating the said 68 water tanks may be added. Not only this , cost of water pump, cost of making reservoir tank of every flat, cost of roof top reservoir – If all could be added it is Kamal Mojumder who is responsible to this . If any body visits to the area they may find large mounted water tanks at Pallabi, Mirpur Six, Near Ceramic, Near Block D, Near Avenue 5 of Mirpur - 11. Even these may be seen a great deal of tanks all over Mirpur even Dhaka . But all those have been left useless. Who was responsible? It is Kamal Ahmed Mojumder and the Engineers and other Beaurocrat and Technocrat who approved- all are responsible in blunting the most scientific system. For their pumps house lots of terrors have been sheltered in the pump house and sold the most basic needs like wise we were twisted by their ropes for the supply of water as it is seen in Padma for Farkkah barrage. For the worst suffering, last government might not avoid the responsibility since they should find the right path to his citizen.
In such a policy driven syndicated crimes by the political system of Bangladesh should not be continued and it requires urgent surgery. Is the doctor expert and sincere enough?
Both of the pictures were taken in the month of September, 2007. Then both of the selling centres caught the attention of the public .Now only tin shed kiosk is occupied by the low income public, whereas the nicely decorated BDR shop is not crowded now , because syndicated goods are sold as it should be the similar manner grafted in the tin shed kiosk .What is the problem? Is it the management by the fifth column?
Queue: A long Q (question)
BM investigation, 5 April 2008
Long queue for the rice, soybean or palm oil have made an acute headache to the policy makers of the country. They have drawn many conclusions regarding the crisis. One former Beaurocrat said the commoners have been suffering from ‘silent famine' and other existing Beaurocrat suggested that we have been suffering from ‘hidden hunger'. And in that crossfire the commoners have been puzzled because they have not passed the civil service examination. They know that they have to live.
The most interesting thing is that the middle class and upper class people of the state have not yet come to the BDR queue. On the other hand, the Adviser for Finance Ministry, few days ago, commented before some editors of the newspaper that none has yet find out the solution regarding the existing hike of the essential goods. I am sorry to say that this site suggested to the Government few months back that there might be a rice scarcity and so the Government should take some measures against the hoarders who are engaged in creating artificial crisis in the market. Even though we suggested to open mass feeding centre in a open space- the system that is called “ Longor Khana' and suggested to make awareness to the commoners to consume more rice substitute for instance, vegetable, potato etc which is still holding in the ‘Notice Board' of our home page . Unfortunately the Government did not follow the suggestion and lastly, in spite of huge rice in the BDR as well as other stores , there are long queues are seen in the street by our observation even by the observation of other mass media .
Visit to the BDR Kiosk :
Today (Date: 4 April, 2008. Time: 3 PM) I visited at Pallabi Community Centre BDR selling centre where visited last September where I found a long queue , apart from the location different spots of BDR selling centre in Dhaka city , the picture was same . Beyond the presence of the low and problem burden common peoples few capitalists under the banner of the co-operative societies and NGOs lending capitals to the women in the slum and semi – slum areas and by collecting 5 kgs of rice in lower price selling to a high to the second party like in the bazaar or in the slum areas who do not attend to the queues, a source added . Some people made it a profession, another source added. In the BDR market at Pallabi Play ground adjacent rent free vegetables market one Ranu, a woman who has been gotten a shop who used to collect rice by employing some slum women and later she sold that rice in her match for the boarder. Frustratingly the infrastructure that were built by spending a lot of money do not sell the rice that are selling making tin shed shop , even some informed that finely infrastructured BDR shop sells limited items avoiding most of the Bangladeshi companies , a syndicate is working behind that monopoly , Lever Brother is one of them. On the eve of my visit to the BDR shop one officer said that it was our duty to check the boarder not selling goods. So such fragile commitment to the people and mitigating the suffering of the people the motivation of the BDR personnel seems frustratingly poor.
To sum, the distribution network by the BDR is not satisfactorily maintained now. In the similar way, the management of the department of the Food by the truck , problem remains the same .
suggestion :
Make lines regarding the requirement of the customer: 1, 2, 3,4,5 kgs and request to the customer to hold the exact amount of the cash in the hand and give them packed rice of one –five kgs of pack and take the taka and order him/her to go . Regarding it the package of 1-5 kg bag may be manufactured and filled and sealed up by the personnel in the night which may lessen the toil of the BDR personnel or the personal of Department of the Food who are selling rice mounted on the truck in different location in Dhaka city. For the filling and sealing BDR and concerned department may manage an auto packing machines which are easily procured by many private mills in Bangladesh are using to pack and seal up the food stuff. Even by hiring lots of second hand cleaned bottles may be filled to provide the edible oil without making long queue. For the rice, small gunny bag may be used which may help in marketing jute or gunny bags extensively.
Concern :
If the fifth column in the Government wish to carry out any blue print which might compel the situation worse, than the enemy of Bangladesh may take the opportunity. Instead of eliminating the crisis if any unwanted crisis is created, then any new Government may not tackle in the near future, stupidity and conspiracy may beget new conspiracy .I believe it is happening in this regard.
Conclusion :
In addition, if the situation is pushed to the den of crisis, it would be clear that the ways the hens of the poultry firms in the last months were killed by the instruction of the world Bank was nothing but to make the ground in borrowing by paying interest from the foreign Bank, the sud khor or usurer, who tends to maximize the profit in the midst of the crisis. We can not make our country a baseball ground for the foreign shylock!!

PIRANHA, advertisement & technical reporting
Akhter, 23 September , 2007:
A view on the selling of Piranha in the market of Dhaka is signthed in the 9 th issue of Bangladeshmoves. We hoped that the respective Ministry would pay attention to this issue; unfortunately, no reaction from the Ministry had yet been recovered .Moreover, when we tried to visit the website of the Bangladesh Ministry of Fisheries through www.bangladesh.gov.bd , only ‘error found' while I tried to log on. So I was frustrated with the role of the respective Ministry. On the other hand, an advertisement in the Daily Prothom Alo on 12 th September, 2007 (Metropolitan edition, pp.5) caught our attention with the statement of Bangladesh Private Fish hatchery Owner's Association .It claimed that some quarters are bewildering against the selling of the fish Red Ballied Pacu (They provided its scientific name Colossoma macropomum .They also claimed that the fish is bewildered as ‘Piranha'. They claimed the Red Bellied Pacu as the Thai Rupchanda are sweet tasted and safe to culture:
We visited the website and it presumed a non academic and for the audience, habituated for hunting. The website provides the opinion about the fish:
“Fishing Khao Lak's Comment:
Very similar looking to Pirahna, but not actually the same species.
It has a mouthful of large, almost human looking teeth.
A very quick growing fish that gives a very good account for itself when hooked.”
Then we searched the most academic website: WIKIPEDIA (F:\Piranha - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.htm), ( F:\Pacu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.htm) .
The assessment of that site in relation to Piranha and Pacu differs with the opinion of the Association.
“Pacu ( IPA : [pa ' ku] ) is a common name used to refer to several species of South American freshwater fish that are closely related to the piranha . They are mainly herbivores , but will also eat small fish, insects, and meat on fishing lures [1] (see omnivorous ). Their teeth, which may resemble human teeth, are used to cut through vegetation and crush seeds that fall into the water. Pacu and piranha are distinguished from each other by their teeth and jaw alignments; piranha have pointed, razor-sharp teeth in a pronounced underbite , whereas pacu have square, straight teeth in a less severe under bite, or a slight overbite . [2] Additionally, full-grown pacu are much larger than piranha.”
“However, the fish are a poor choice for the typical hobbyist . While they are not aggressive carnivores like the piranha, their crushing jaw system, used primarily for eating seeds and nuts, can be hazardous. One toddler needed surgery after a pacu (misreported as a piranha) bit her finger at Edinburgh Butterfly and Insect World in Scotland . Commenting on the incident, Deep Sea World zoological manager Matthew Kane warned, "Pacus will eat anything, even children's wiggling fingers ."
More over the site (F:\Piranha - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.htm) claimed that according to the research up to 2003 there were 38 or 39 species of Piranha were found .And it is less acceptable that a fish like Pacu resembles to its dorsal, elongated anal fin, immatured adipose fin, straight end caudal fin, off pelvic fin, reddish /brownish bellies, terminally located mouth and teeth it is as risky as Piranha .While the GOB inspire to cultivate the local species those are very demanding as well should be encouraged .It is recommendation to GOB to stop its import and massive cultivation to avoid the awful experience of African catfish (African Magur) .
We also request to Anti-corruption Commission,Bangladesh to investigate why a through study did not get priority by the Ministry of Fisheries as the issue was closely related to the national economic interest .

BDR's 'Dal -Bhat' program: case study : Pallabi PS.
BM investigation ,22 September ,2007 :
In respect of dragging the bridle of the horse of the price of the essential goods, GOB has deployed the paramilitary, BDR and other relevant departments to pacify the cry of the people. The more the month of Ramazan is closer more the price of the essential good rockets at the sky. Although deployment of BDR had been commenced since last years, in near future by the last 4-party alliance Government, the repetition is seen this year too.
Public interest to buy the goods from those markets s remarkable. The survey assists to conclude that the mass believes that the price and quality is more acceptable than other markets run by the Municipality. Since the corruption of the officers of municipality and other departments, the scrutinies of the markets are not properly done. Hence, the action of the joint force may temporarily relief the mass.
Case study:
PALLABI BDR‘s ‘DAL –BHAT' PROGRAM'
Marketing strategy:
There are four levels of marketing of the goods are perceived by the BDR. Those include:
Direct BDR personnel operated shop.
BDR guarded rent free bazaar run by the general hawkers.
BDR guarded BANK financed ‘BDR shopping centre.'
BDR's mobile selling shop mounted on truck.
Price sensitivity:
The rice of the BDR personnel operated and mobile shop mounted on truck are cheaper than those of the rent free bazaar by the general hawkers. While one liter of Soya bean is sold in the two levels is 73 taka, the rent free bazaar is selling 80 taka. While one kilo of onion is selling 28 taka/kilo, the rent free bazaar is selling 36taka/kilo. The reality is that the hawker rehabilitated in the BDR guarded bazaar charging more than other levels of marketing .BDR guarded bank financed ‘BDR shopping' centre sales not much not less means. They are like the shopping chain shop like Agora.
Problems in the marketing:
BDR personnel operated shop is so crowded to purchase the goods in a late. The crowd is also seen in the BDR's mobile selling shop mounted on truck. BDR guarded BANK financed ‘BDR shopping centre' cash counter is operated only two persons and so to check the crowd sometimes it needs to close the entrance. More over, from BDR source' no limit to purchase except onion many purchase soybean, potato, rice and sell to other small shops . In consequence , many deprive of getting the goods and have to go back in barren hand .
Proposal:
Make 1 kg/1/2 kg/2 kg pack of rice, onion, potato or chick peas earlier and as soon as sopping starts just receive and pay the goods.
Say the purchaser to reserve the change as much as they can to put up for sale.
Do not deal more than three KGs of each item in a day and motivate to give passage to others.
Do not let the mob to react such behavior that they are against the interest of the people , but please do not let the tout who has started business by purchasing less and selling much in the market .The character of some peoples are so shameful that are sold even for a taka.
Hope the BDR and Department of Food are in the street would notice the proposal to make the success of ‘Da; -Bhat' operation .
For last years the check of the hike of the price of the essential commodities became the new challenge to Bangladesh Government. Although in the open market economy, in many countries, the issue is less arguable, for instance, in Sydney , Australia one kilo of tomato is sold 2.14 dollars, the same thing is sold in 3.50 dollars in Edge cliff or Kings cross. Only the chain Shop like Cools or Woolwarth maintain the regularity, whereas the same thing is cheaper in Banks town, Eastlake or the whole sale market Flemington, Oberon or Lakemba .But there is no political backlash with the issue the citizens of the country receives dole money from the state from Centre link or use the credit card by paying interest to the bank. In the case of Bangladesh , for the mismanagement of the then leaders of Awami League after the independence in 1971, the price of the essential commodities rose to a peak and the issue was made them fall. As a result the Awami League used the issue against the last 4 party alliance government, although, the involvement in the form of Syndicate, curtail went against the leaders of Awami League and BNP. In present time, the CG has to face the challenge and they made the issue important and some significant steps are taken by the Government, for instance, opening new retail shops under the guidance of BDR, monitoring the whole sale shop by the joint force etc. The situation is like that the business class had declared war against the common peoples. Lastly the steps some how pacified the peoples of Dhaka . The problem is grave in Dhaka since the high income generated peoples are living in Dhaka and any political issue based ‘movement or chaos' incepted in Dhaka ultimately change the total Bangladeshi politics.
There are some causes for what the government is to face this challenge every year. In the month of Ramadan the price of the items are rocketed, mostly imported from India , Nepal , Australia etc. In many Muslim countries the menu is different than we are habituated. Chick peas, Musur dal, solar dals (powder of chick peas), onion, edible oils - all are imported items from Nepal, China , ,USA ,Canada , Australia, Mynmar, Nepal, Malyasia etc. The slang towards middleman is less provocative than its political use. The middle level service provider are nothing but the part of Bangladeshis, question is to availability of the goods. Recently in Gazipur District a bumper production of lemon was seen and then whole Dhaka city dwellers were able to purchase 15 lemons by 10 taka. The lemon was nice in quality and slight nourishment could produce high quality mandarin or orange, those are imported from foreign countries . Since these are locally produced and perishable the sellers sold these in a cheap. When the question for the mass employment is inevitable, the domestic production by employing these unemployed peoples is a demand to the government.
On the other hand, those are storable but domestic production is controlled by the producer, since it is the development of the fishermen and different level dependents is less appreciable. Once this Hilsha fish was rotten for lack of cold storage facilities, now it is the development that the cold storage facilities had made the fisherman and middlemen opportunities to survive.
Someone's fortune made someone in trouble. In this situation what is the duty of the Government? A thought provoking indeed! The strict implementation of the law against those are engaged in hording and the massive production of the imported goods those are imported from out side breaking the few importers dominance and the arrangement of personal loan like the credit card etc. Hope the policy maker may think further .
English language: un -necessary marketing approach
BM Desk, 11th September ,2007 :
Through the colony after the Palasi war in 1757, English is becoming the language for the ‘opportunities' in the eye of some body. As part of the assumption English was initially practiced by a group belonged to Hindu community. As per Dr. Quazi Abdul Mannan (1969) a student lead by Rammohon Roy and through the motivation of Henri Derozio , a teacher of the college in the 1830s ‘Young Bengal' was established who accepted the English langue and culture i.e wine , and late night party culture . Although they were not formally accepted Christianity, they accumulated the above mentioned culture in the Hindu society, which are still the part of Hindu culture in India . Since with the patronization of the English the Young Bengal advanced more steps than the Muslims, helplessly, the Muslim community accepted the language and started to grab the opportunity side by side the Hindu community. Since then the language is becoming the language of present Bangladeshi. The mother tongue Bengali, for what the then east Pakistanis sacrificed the life or the demand of Bengali, as the state language of Bangladesh is no becoming the second language after English. A consumable product marketable among the common people is unnecessarily presented by the words made from the English goods. The demand for Bengali is only uttered in the month of February (a month named after English!) Only to demoralize those who demanded a separate Muslim land and established Pakistan in the long run. Since Pakistan was mutilated and a black chapter was taken to be imprinted by the intra-brotherly war in 1971 the mission is complete and no there is no regret whether we deliver our speech in English even we deliver our lecture to motivate the civil servant of Bangladesh or any other program. According to the statistics ob Bangladesh Beauro of Statistics 62.66 % people are educated among them most of them can write a letter in a single language. Most of them are less expert in English. So in this situation the BSTI approved local products highlighting in English is nothing but the gestures and postures of slavery mentality. We can not be a slave . We must learn a language like English but we can not unnecessarily impose them over the half illiterate people of ours. The products like biscuit, soap , tooth paste those are sold are ostly sold in Bangladesh . In the English speaking countries those are exported are sold among the Bangladeshi communities. The products of multinational companies like liver brothers, Reckitt Benckiser are selling their products in Bangladesh are not exported to the European and American Markets, even in Europe itself there are different countries sell their products imprinting the brand name in the respective language . Some goods are sold in Middle East market and so some company translates the Arabic version along with Bengali and English language. The most appropriate marketing approach shall be to assess the quantity of the export order and prepare the package of their respective language .Some analysts suggest that there is a prospect of Bangladeshi goods in Africa . Well, it is better to translate in to their language for their certain consignments and then they would please that we have respected their local language. The discriminate use of English language is on the pack of medicine, prospective exportable goods in Bangladesh .
In addition, I must cite the problem of the Bangladeshi overseas employers. According to the statistics of Bangladesh Beauro of Statistics in the year 2003-04 41.10% foreign currency of total earned remittance of the overseas employers is gathered from Saudi Arabia , where nearly cent percent faced the barrier of Arabic language , not English , Second position secured by USA ,from where we get 13.87% , in the similar manner from the UAE 11.08%, UK 8.82%,Oman 3.52%, Qatar 3.37% , Others 5.71% and Bahrain 1.81% .Among the others Italy, Germany, Japan, French, Australia may be mentioned . Among those Germany , Japan , French ,Italy Bangladeshis face tremendous problem without having the knowledge of German, Japanese and Italian language . In this situation I suggest the following proposals:
For the marketing of goods in the local Market we must high light the brand name in Bengali and BSTI, and other GOB agency would ensure that.
For the expansion of export of goods in different linguistic countries, respective message can be translated in to their own language.
Since our manpower is exported in different countries of different language , from the very beginning they can be chose specific language where they interest to move later .
University teacher's lecture of every day delivered in bangle can be published and through this ways lots of translated books are to be received
Emphasis on the technical knowledge we can arrange a group of Bangladeshi interpreter assisting the businesses and technicians in order to avoid the unnecessary burden.
We, the Bangladeshis, can no longer be the physiological slaves, rather be pragmatic in order to formulate the strategy we may win the economic race.

From child to old these fruits attract them all .Dipping in milk these fruits are eaten with rice –made please from poor to rich. Many peoples start mango and jackfruits business in this season. Maximum Mangoes are supplied from Rajshahi division and jack fruit from Savar, Gazipur ,Tangail and Mymenshing .Besides these areas, all over Bangladesh jack fruits are cultivated . High quality mangoes are recently cultivated in Feni districts. Mangoes have Protein, Carbohydrate, Minerals, Acid, calcium, Phosphorus, Iron. In addition Vitamin-A, B, C are seen in Mango. Ripen mango increases hunger and helpful for medium loose stool. In traditional sources says that mango with milk assist to hold the longevity of juvenility. However, the same source suggests not eating excess mangoes as they may create problem for digestion and stool. On the other hand, jackfruit is also giving energy. In jackfruits carbohydrate, Protein, and plenty of Vitamin-A are found .Besides, Calcium, Phosphorus, little amount of Vitamin –B 1,2,3 and Vitamin C .From 100 grams of ripe jackfruit we get 88 Calorie energy .The seeds of jack- fruits are helpful for the stomach . Excess of eating jackfruits may trouble in stomach. There is a possibility to make different industries with this fruits. The mango bar, and cold drinks with the pulp of mango has demand all around the year. To alleviate poverty and for the public health Government should take extra care to this sector.

' Dole money ' and hike of price's cheap politics
BM research,4 June ,2007:
Do you know about the word dole ? I had no idea about the word before I had visited Australia . The citizen and the settled immigrants are very much familiar with the word. Word is like the novel ‘Prince' .There is a proverb among the academician that every tyrant reads the 'Prince', but can not confess.
Similiarly they enjoy the dole/dole money but little confesses it. In order to reveal the meaning of the word, lets have a look the dictionary. According to the Oxford Learner's Dictionary the word dole is meant by ~ out is distribute food, money etc in small amounts, or the weekly payment made under various Insurance Acts in GB to an unemployed worker. Dole is an alms /social security money paid to the unemployed by the insurance or state herself. So called developed countries pay their country men for their unemployed citizen. So in Bangladesh , what is arranged for her citizens? The investigation revealed:
1. Begging alms to the wealthy persons. 2. Stealing against the will of the owners. 3. Prostitution 4.Gambling. 5. Inducemnet or bribe those who are not staisfied with the remunartion or, in other word, remunration is not enough to fulfill his expectation .This is applicable mostly in Public sector , but it is similiarly visible in some private sector. Since the remunration is good and the empolyer restricted the leakage for corruption private sector is not too much corruptive than public sector.
Since prostitution and gambling are socially and legally hatred, most of the peoples are engaged in busine. As our religion inspires to do business , they are socially feel comfortable in the occupation. As a result most of the peoples think their products are the only means to maximise their profits in order to realize their basic needs. Bergaining culture is one of the business strategy in our country , where some one may loose some one may win. For instance , in the fish market , a fish saler asks one Kg of fish 100 taka, later he sells 70tak/kg ,on the other hand some may pay 80 tk. On the other hand if the supply of the market is abundant , they go cheap. For instance, in the season of tomato one mound is sale 35 taka in some part of the area which is sold 50 taka kg,for instance in Australia. According to the islamic principalities it is permissionable to do business, make a limited profit, not encouraged usuary economic policy, not cheat with the weight , not cheat with the customers about the quality of the products. Since Bangladesh is not governed by the Islamic principles , there is a filmsy impact of Islam in Bangladesh . Peoples are always mixing right and wrong .
In this situation ,only the hike of price of the goods became the dirt to weaken the opponent political parties . Unfortunately, ins and outs of the problem is rarely discussed. In this situation , middle service of the peoples in between the farmer and consumer is potraying as an act of criminality . Whears , they are helping to market the products and many countries think them as part of the business. They are called brokerage. If they are economically inactive the consumers have to go to village to purchase one killo of potato or the farmer have to come with one hundred kilo of potato loading up their heads to the customers. Is it possible? And if it is happened then the those who were engaged in different level of the supply between Business to Customer ,they become unemployed and the law and order situation may out of control. Or they have to pay' social allowance that I called 'DOLE MONEY' .
The main problem to fluctuate in Bangladeshi economy are: hoarding ,import and the tendency of the consumer.
It is really astonishing that the opposition party Awami League frequently uttered about the hike of price in Bangladesh in last years. The main reason was that this claim destroyed the image of the party in the first regime of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman era in 1972-75. If the same thing can be repeated than the party image can be restored. The statement of Sheikh Salim in the Joint Interrogation cell revealed that AL leaders were more conscious about the existence of their part other than the country. The persons who were involved in the syndicate for the essentials goods in the market were known by the Secretary of AL Abdul Jalil. The fact is that AL leader Hazi Salim,Sheikh Helal,Abdul Awal Mintu, was involved to crisis for the supply of rice, onion and cement in the market, MA Hashem for Sugar (Source : The Daily Prothom Alo,2 June ,2007) . The goods which are imported seen to be controlled by the group. Basically the goods which are produced locally seen less problematic. For instance, the Pangas fish and some fish items are produced locally and sold in cheap. Another tendency of the seller they ask high but after bargain they sell leap than ask. The bargain hunter sins somewhere, and loses some where. For instance, the jeans pant is asked 1300 taka in the shops adjacent to Elephant road (Kudrat-e-Khuda road) is sold 500/600/700 whereas those are sold 250/300 in Bongo bazaar or other markets. Those pants are sold in Kaligonj cheaper than Bongo bazaar .
Recently the hike of the price of the fuel is mentioned, in this case, Governments policy is responsible .We know that CNG is cheaper than diesel, if the carriage are affixed the CNG kits the price can be less. On the other hand hand, if those arrangements are taken then a lots of money is to be invested to import the kits. So in this situation it is required to chalk out the balance sheet. Mass level small brokerage are to be monitored but they should not be blamed. They are providing their labour to smooth deliver the goods. The middle man that is blamed is the model of the Dastak during the English period in 1760 where lots of brokers or dalal were patronized by the English to control the price of the goods. According to Reza khan's letter cited in Sirajul Islam (1984) the real heinous middle man or brokerage are mentioned who were really the blood sucker:
” The Jaminders of different districts are claiming that the brokerage or dalal or gomosta of the factories(East India Company's factories) scattered in the villages .They deals in the local products like clothes, lime, mustard seed, tobacco, turmeric, oil, rice, reed, gunny bag, wheat. They bound the producers to take the advance .In this way they pay less money while to purchase the goods and sells more than purchase. They do not care the price of the market. These businessmen neither pay tax to the government nor they respect to the Government, instead they insult to the Government. They prohibit collecting tax from the suppliers who are paid in advance for the production before paying the money borrowed from them. The Gomosta reserved the policy: Repay the loan first then pay the tax.”
As a result the developmental works halted due to the profiteer. Hazi Salim,Sheikh Helal,Abdul Awal Mintu, MA Hashem are the modern Gomosta and they are to be blamed. But if the excessive pressure is to be removed by eliminating by bargain hunting then the economical structural design would be different. For the case of Sydney, one kilo of potato is sold is Kings cross or little bay ,Watson bay about three dolor ,whears those are slod in China market one dolor kilo , in Flemington those are lesser than the Little bay and Watson bay. But no body is arguing about that . In Bangladesh, in order to make a cheap politics some political parties and media are misleading us. In addition, the nature of the cnsumer is not less responsible. Many fruits and fish those are cheap shall not eat. In the month of Ramadan , for instance the Australian Muslims do not take as much as sola(chik peas) or piaju as like as we consume. This foods are acidic in the time of Ramadan and a local touts start to make hoarding the goods smuggled from India , Australia . Regards to the illict professions that I mentioned first coloumn ,there should be no misunderstanding .In Bangladesh, for instance ,prostitution is not taken only for the economic hardship , some takes it as to fulfil their illict desire which is completely the mark of deterioration of the charecter in some group. Similiarly , in western countries including Australia ,that I mentioned, prostitution prevailed as they have declared that a profession. In order to receive the tax and to satisfy the women and the adjoined group in the profession ,even gambling, the Government of the countries do not stop those. Consequently, they are being suffered for this ,should be discussed separately.
At this moment, I think 'hike of the price of the goods' is a serious issue, a cheap politics can no longer be the solution, needs massive study , sincerity & commitment. More clearly it is required to punish those who are engaged in hoarding, and to make the socialization process and to adopt a policy so that unemployed peoples part of the peoples can be engaged in such a ecomic activities where import is replaced by huge domestic products. If supply of the goods are flowed properly the rate seldom fluctuates.

Agri -product packaging :new horizon to rural employment
BM research,8 May,2007:
Among 4.4 crore of labour force 51% , 13.56 % and 34.75% are engaged in agricultural sector, industrial sector and service sector respectively in Bangladesh . To setup the agricultural based industries the transformation of the agricultural sector can be achieved and in that gap the huge new unemployed faces can be occupied to agricultural sector.
Everyday a huge quantity of vegetables, fruits and flour and rice are sold in the local market all over the country. Those are packed in different stages in the urban areas .As a result the rural-urban migration making an economic, social and environmental problem in the urban areas. So to check the rural –urban in migration it is required to create employment in the rural areas. It is one of the key objectives of the Government too. From our web-site we call on all public and private sectors to establish packing industries in the rural areas assisting the agri-products to be properly reach to the consumer. This shall decrease the possibilities to fluctuate the product value at the end of sale .Moreover; the products can be reached to the retail within short period of time in the urban markets and rural areas as well. Not only this, the agri products can be exported as ready products shall be avail able in the market. This complex function can be initially done by the urban exporter later the farmer himself. Through intranet, internet the agri-products can be chosen and be paid through banking channel the agri products can be supplied through own covered van from the rural areas .In this way the Bangladeshi rural peoples can create the opportunities to their neighbors.
The packing industries and the automobiles repair centre and other agri based industries can be established which may be cheaper than urban industries.

Proposed route : Farmgate - Tongi Diversion road
BM DESK ,31 march 2007
Farm gate is the middle point in Dhaka .Most of the routes in Dhaka meet at this point. However, huge traffic jams and the rush of people are seen in the pick hour.
Many peoples go to Maghbazar, Tejgaon , Rampura by the route of Mohakhali, Banglamotor or in front of FDC road at Kawran Bazar crossing Farmgate. But DCC or road and high ways department of Ministry of Communications are reluctant to extend the bus routes for the easy and jam free public movement by bus. To way out the problem and to propose the new route we shall present our proposal to the site. On part of the effort to day's route proposal is the Farm Gate – seven roads joint of Tongi Diversion road.
There is a huge road available crossing the Tejgaon rail way station gate up to Tongi Diversion road. This road is so wide that lots of buses and cars can by pass very constructively. As a result the time and cost would be saved. More over, the acute jams in Mohakhali, Bangla motor, Mogh bazar four points near Eskaton shall be eliminated.
During the last Government the roads were blocked by the Intercity Truck owners with the influence of local MP. Now the roads are clear with the effort of combined force .However, the Awami League Tejgaon unit is preparing the unit if they are reelected .So it is the hard time to the authority to introduce the route and save the money and time of the peoples. We hope that it will boost the local economy.

Although the sound pounded few days ago and stopped instantly, yet we are amazed why does the increase of the electricity bill and why this proposal in the case the people burst in the last era.
So we request to the Bangladesh Electricity Development Board, and DESA, DESCO, Rural Electrification Board to recover the unpaid bills and pay the dues in full swing for avoiding the disturbances in the summer. The Bangladesh Economic Survey -2005 suggests that the amount of the bill Bangladesh Electricity Development Board's unpaid bill to the different government establishments and companies is worth of 4621.23 crore taka up to March 2005, on the other hand the liabilities of the company worth of 5701.94 should be paid and analysis whether there is any mismanagement conducted .In addition, for the case of DESA the amount of the unpaid bill is 1018 crore taka; on the other hand, the liabilities of the company is worth of 3199.69 .
We request to the respective Ministry to mange the problem before any crisis begins in the summer .
N.B. Recently it is investigated that the signboard of the Electricity Building (Bidhut Bhabon ) near Secretary building is broken . Even the switch boards of different areas are theft and the connections are open which might cause serious accident. Inshallah those pictures shall be included in the site in order to watch the carelessness of the electricity supplying authority.
Bangladeshi Muslamans observed Eid ul Adzha with festivityon 1st January -2007. Nearly 25 lcas cattle (unofficial source) were slaughtered as per the instruction by Hazrat Muhammad (SM). The Muslims try to slaughter according to their ability. However, the hike of the price of the cattle pressed to lessen their ability. The cattle which was 15 to 20 thousand last year, was sold 30-35 thousand in the local Dhaka's market this year. Although the supply was good in the market and a little number of Indian cattle was seen in the market, the cattle traders maintained syndicate with the market organizers asked maximum price . Some argued that in consideration to the last several years, the cattle raisers got maximum price of the cattle this year and they are pleased with it. However, it was not surveyed how many peoples were failed to slaughter regards to the hike of the price. In the open market economy, it is natural.
If we are worried about the buyers who failed to slaughter the whole then we must think about the maximum production of the cattle and I think in this sector, lots of capitals can be invested and lots of peoples can be employed in this sector which is really a sacred duty to a Muslim.
According to the statistics provided by the Bangladesh Economic Survey -2005, in the fiscal year 2003 -04, this sector contributed only 2.91% in the GDP whereas it is able to increase since the real environment supports it.
The leather processing and products manufacturing capacity can be increased to fatten the GDP of Bangladesh.
In the single day of Eid -ul -Adzha , nearly 800 hundred crore taka is handled in the country only for the raw skin trade of the slaughtered cattle , which contributes for the eradication of poverty. Lots of peoples are involved in meat processing, can be trained to boost the abilities to conduct the trade in the day even later.
If we develop a system to extend the maximum usability of the festival , then we must be able to find out the area for the unemployed and eradication of poverty which lead peoples in the path of kufri. . We propose to:
1. Build up the infrstructure to provide the exact information for the market.
2. Team consisted of the expart from different corner to find out the problems for the
management of the cattle marketing.
3. Scientific wayout findings for the proper slaughtering and restore its economic values
Hope our policy makers would concentrate to the proposal.

Raise cattle, create employment and make the country self-sufficient
BM desk:
According to the book - Bangladesh Economic Survey -2005, in the fiscal year 1991 -92 the production of milk and meat were 13.52 and 4.60 lac metric ton respectively. The number increased 20.3 and 9.6 lac metric ton respectively in the year 2004-05. Through farm registration and giving 5 crore taka incentives among 4775 firms i.e. 500 taka for each of the cow, the number of the milk farms may increase. In these circumstances, our site shall provide the information of different cows so that the governmental organization, business firm and non- governmental organization can pick up the good quality of cattle .
Asturian Valley
Also known by: Asturiana de los Valles, Carreñana, Asturiana Occidental
The Asturian Valley is a local Spanish beef breed of enormous foraging ability and good maternal qualities reared in extensive conditions in the southwest of the "Principado de Asturias" in the North of Spain. This breed had a very large population in the ancient times, but the introduction of more specialized European breeds, caused a gradual and general decrease in the number of pure breed individuals along the present century in a fast absorption process. However, a slight increase in the number of registered animals took place in the eighties, and this tendency continues. Now the breed is expanding not only in number of individuals but also geographically, from its traditional distribution area in the southwest of Asturias towards the north of Leon , Galicia and Cantabria. Asturian Valley have a straight profile, chestnut coats with tones ranging from very pale yellow in the lightest coats of the females to a reddish tone, .In males, the coat is generally darker and more so at the back of the head, neck and dewlap, bottom of the abdomen and in the feet, where the color is completely black. Light colored coats are rare. Always black, the tone of the mucus membranes is typical of the breed, as is a more or less marked black spot under the eyes, and at the end of the tail, round the eyes and hoofs.
The horn is white but its end is black.
Asturian Valley cows are good mothers, calve with ease, show high fertility and wean large, well-shaped calves. Surprisingly for those not used to them, they are very calm animals, which makes handling very easy. Moreover, they are rustic animals which manage well in difficult lands and endure extreme temperatures well.

Wagyu
The word Wagyu refers to all Japanese beef cattle ('Wa' means Japanese or japanese-style and 'gyu' means cattle).
Most of the cattle were influenced by British and Continental breeds for a few generations nearly 100 years ago. Brown Swiss, Shorthorn, Devon, Simmental, Ayrshire, Korean, Holstein and Angus had been imported by 1887 and impacted today's Wagyu.
Crossbreeding was prominent for several years, but when the price of crossbreds collapsed in 1910 no further crossbreeding was conducted. The result was selection for specific traits determined by region and extensive line breeding was used to achieve those traits.
The dominant black Wagyu strains are Tottori, Tajima, Shimane, and Okayama . Tajima cattle, bred in the Tajima region, were originally chosen and bred for their heavy forequarters because their primary use was to pull carts. They tend to be smaller and less heavily muscled than the Tottori breed. Tottori cattle, because they were used as pack animals for the grain industry of the Tottori region, were selected for their size and strength of top line. The other main "breed" of Wagyu, was developed on the island of Kyushu is red in color. As with the blacks, there are two distinct strains-Kochi and Kumamoto . Kochi cattle were strongly influenced by Korean breeding while Kumamoto is believed to have considerable Simmental influence.
The original import of these cattle to the U.S. in 1976 consisted of two Tottori Black Wagyu and two Kumamoto Red Wagyu bulls. That was the only importation of Wagyu into the U.S. until 1993 when two male and three female Tajima cattle were imported and 1994 when 35 male and female cattle consisting of both red and black genetics reached the U.S.
